Biography:

Dr. G. E. Eileen (Muir) Scott was born in Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario in 1938.  Dr. Scott was the daughter of James Lyle Muir and the former Lillian “Grace” Sheppard.  Her parents were farmers. Dr. Scott received her high school education at Stamford Collegiate in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Dr. Scott graduated M.D. from Queen’s University in 1961 and interned at Hamilton General Hospital.  After interning, she practiced at the Ontario Hospital School (also known as the Southwestern Regional Centre) in Cedar Springs.

Dr. Scott married Dr. Michael Allan Scott who attended Queen’s University with her.  He also graduated M.D. in 1961 and he interned at Hamilton General Hospital and the Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.  After interning Dr. Michael Allan Scott set up his medical practice in Bothwell for a short time, then moved to Chatham in August of 1966.  In 1968, the Scott family resided at 6 Partridge Crescent (in Chatham).

Dr. and Dr. Scott had 3 children; Michael, Christopher and Karen.

Dr. Eileen Scott eventually left the Southwestern Regional Centre and assisted her husband in his medical practice in Chatham.  She has since retired.
