Biography:

Dr. Thomas William Schlenker was born near Bothwell, Ontario on the 27th of September, 1867.  Dr. Schlenker parents were Thomas Schlenker and the former Caroline Wing. His father was a merchant in Ridgetown.  Dr. Schlenker had an older sister named Rosina Christina Schlenker, a younger sister named Lillian Augusta Schlenker and a younger brother named Frank Ernest Schlenker. There were 3 other children that did not survive infancy; Agatha, Emma and George.

Dr. Schlenker’s mother died on the 27th of May, 1883. His father married Nancy Ward on the 6th of September, 1887.  Sadly his father died the following year. In 1891 Dr. Schlenker was a student at The University of Toronto University Faculty of Medicine. He and his siblings, Lillian and Frank were boarding with his sister Rosina who had married Lyman Parney in 1886. Lillian was studying music in Toronto.

Dr. Schlenker graduated M.D. before he died on the 25th of August, 1892 just shy of his 25th birthday. He was buried at the Greenwood Cemetery in Ridgetown.
