Biography:

Dr Robert Francis Frederick Demary was born in Toronto, Ontario on the 30th of April, 1915.  Dr. Demary was the youngest of 3 children born to Dr. Andrew Frederick Demary and the former Mabel Armstrong.  His father was a medical doctor who graduated M.B. from The University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine in 1904 and his siblings were Edna May Demary and Vera Demary.  At the time of his birth Dr. Demary’s family resided at 2 Lyall Ave. in Toronto.

Dr. Robert Demary graduated from The University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine in 1941.  After completing his internship, Dr. Demary set up his medical practice in Ridgetown, where he practiced for many years.

Dr. Demary married Mary Kathleen Milne.  Mrs. Demary was born in Cobalt, Ontario on the 14th of June, 1917.  She was the youngest of 2 children born to Charles Norman Milne and the former Edith Patterson.  Her father was a mining engineer and her older brother was John Norman Milne.

Dr. and Mrs. Demary had 3 daughters, Susan, Vera and Peggy.

By 1953 Dr. and Mrs. Demary resided at 192 King Street South in Waterloo.  In 1968, Dr. and Mrs. Mary Demary resided at 554 Sugarbrush Dr. in Waterloo and in 1972 Dr. and Mrs. Demary lived at 609 Erb Street in Waterloo.

Dr. Demary died at Kitchener-Waterloo Hospital on the 22nd of September, 1977.  At the time of his death, Dr. and Mrs. Demary resided at 170 Erb Street West in Waterloo.  Mrs. Demary died on the 28th of January, 2006.
