Biography:

Dr. John Allen was born on the 6th of May, 1821.

He married Frances Maria Shewburg in Howard Twp in 1847.  She was the daughter of Francis Shewburg and the former Nancy Martin.  She had 2 older sisters named Eleanor and Jane.

Dr. Allen died on the 4th of October, 1849 and he was buried at the Trinity Cemetery, 13232 Talbot Line, Howard Township.

Mrs. Allen married George John Lane in 1853.  They farmed in Howard Township and had 4 children.  Mrs. Allen-Lane died on the 19th of August, 1894.  Mr. Lane died on the 11th of August, 1908.  Mr and Mrs. Lane were buried next to each other at the Trinity Cemetery in Howard Twp.
