Dr. Albert Werner Seighon was born on the 10th of May, 1882 in London, Ontario.  His parents were Isaac Seighon and the former Mary Werner.  At the time of his birth, his father was a carpenter and the family resided at 524 Simcoe Street.  Dr. Seighon had a sister named Flossie, who was 10 years younger than him.  Another sister, Mabel died of cholera in 1891 at the age of 10  months.

Dr. Seighon’s education is not known, but he was practicing medicine in Kent Bridge in 1902.  He joined the College of Physicians and Surgeons on the 27th of June, 1905.

Dr. Seighon married Anna Maria Shaw on the 24th of December, 1906 in Kent Bridge.  Mrs. Seighon was born on the 6th of November, 1881 in Bothwell, the eldest child of Charles Shaw and the former Elizabeth Neely.  Her parents were farmers and she had 2 younger sisters, Ida and Eva.

Shortly after they were married, Dr. and Mrs. Seighon moved to Fostoria, Ohio.  On the 12th of September, 1918, Dr. Seighon enlisted in World War I.  At the time of his enlistment he listed his address as 2157 East 55th Street in Cleveland Ohio.  Further he stated that he was a physician in private practice.

According to the 1930 U.S. Census, the family had changed their last name to Sage.  This information has been confirmed with multiple sources, including a death record, that recorded the doctors parent’s names.  Also according to the 1930 census, “Dr. Sage”…..had a general medical practice in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.  The family included his wife Anna Maria, and 2 sons; René who was 19 and Howard who was 16 and a daughter named Marilyn who was 5.

In the January 4th, 1950 edition of the Marion Star (Marion, Ohio) an article appeared that Dr. Albert W. Sage of Kenton was taking on the physician duties at the Hardin County Home and Hospital.

Dr. Seighon died on the 7th of June, 1958 in Santa Clara, California.  Mrs. Seighon died on the 6th of August, 1978 in Santa Clara, California.  They are buried at Los Gatos Memorial Park, (San José County) in California, U.S.A.
