Biography:

Dr. Phillip Samuel Lazerson was born in Peterborough on the 25th of June, 1923.  He was the son of Aaron Lazerson and the former Sima Simrod.  His father was born in Russia and his mother was born in Poland.  His father was a teacher.   Dr. Lazerson had a younger sister named Bertha.  Dr. Lazerson graduated from Humberside Collegiate Institute (which is located at 280 Quebec Avenue in Toronto), prior to attending medical school.

Dr. Lazerson graduated from The University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine in 1946.  While he attended university his interests included; painting, sketching, writing, reading and music.

Dr. Lazerson was married to Roselyn.

After completing his internship, Dr. Lazerson moved to Ridgetown and he began a family medical practice there.

Dr. and Mrs. Lazerson moved to New York in 1950.
